The Importance of PUE

Optimizing PUE, the key to energy efficiency transformation

A goal with a difference

Reducing energy consumption in data center facilities is a key factor in lowering PUE, which translates to lower maintenance costs and increased operational efficiency in the data center. A lower PUE enables more sustainable data center operations. By adopting cutting-edge technology to rapidly dissipate heat generated by IT equipment, we aim to maintain the operating temperature of our data centers at 28°C and reduce the energy consumption required for cooling and air conditioning. By achieving a PUE of 1.3 or less, we plan to set a new standard for energy efficiency. of energy efficiency.

Major energy consumption in the data center

• IT equipment: servers, storage, network equipment, etc.
• Data center facilities: cooling systems, air conditioning, lighting, etc.

Our strategy and technology

Maximizing energy efficiency with innovative cooling management systems

Most data centers operate at 21 to 24°C, with a PUE of more than 1.4.

To address this challenge, we increased the operating temperature of our data centers from 24°C to 28°C, reducing power usage costs by approximately 30%.

Conventional Cooling System

Cool air is drawn vertically from the lower floor to the upper floor, with reduced air velocity in the upper floor causing increased heating.

New Front Door Cooling System

It solves temperature stratification by supplying cooling air through the rack cooler’s front module (Air Multiplier) and stably delivering low-pressure air by amplifying ambient air using the Coanda effect.

Server Cooling

Maintain an operating temperature of 28°C with state-of-the-art CPU cooling technology.

Rack Cooling

Optimized airflow prevents temperature stratification and achieves uniform cooling.

Hot Zone Management

Minimize energy waste by separating cooling air from exhaust air.
